The following is the most complete and up-to-date list of Sudanese bloggers you’re ever going to find. Some are active, but others sadly no longer blog much. Either way, enjoy reading their musings on Sudan and everything else they’ve written about so far.

Also, if you know a Sudanese blog that’s not included in the list, please add it in the comments section below so I can become aware of it and include it here. (Last update on October 12th, 2011.)

Hi, just to say how refreshing it is to find a Sudanese with a voice – more specifically the freedom to voice opinions – and not brainwashed into a fearful, conformist existence. All power to you. From my limited experience of Sudan, your SWOT is spot on. Better not say too much more as I am still here!

5 Adil Abdalla 11.12.09 at 6:18 pm

Generally, people in Diaspora are more democratically structured, which enables them to express, share and add value.. Ironically, they are not heard back home; while national calls would hysterically go loud for help, support or to condemn who escaped abroad..!! Your endeavor to make a difference is brilliant, and wish your sparks to be visualized or heard..

hey, just realized that my blog is included in your list. Didn’t realize that it was up there. I’ve moved to wordpress because I can’t access blogspot unfortunately from my current location. Like your portal idea. It would be nice to consolidate Sudanese voices across the globe.

Hi, I am a Sudanese 13 year old, and i have noticed how little i see my glorious countries name on the internet, as well as how this future generation of Sudanese people are very unaware of their Culture and sometimes even ashamed of it. I have decided to make a blog, it is still raw but i am working on it! I am glad that there are so many Sudanese people contributing to shed light about Sudan :)

Hello Amir,

First of all, I’d like to say that I love your work. Seeing you do what you do, encourages me to keep going especially as a Sudanese.

I hate to market myself, but I’m a blogger myself though not a frequent one. However, some of my blog posts such ‘Sudan: A Failed State?’, ‘Sudanese Who Made It Big’, and my documentary ‘Sudan: Divided Identity, Divided Land’ have picked up thousands of views per day.

Check it out: http://oladiab.wordpress.com
