F.A.Q. Sheet

Often I am faced by questions from people who’ve read my blog and noticed a thing or two that got them curious. Some of these questions tend to be utterly retarded, and others legitimate. This F.A.Q. page is designed to answer them quickly and effectively.

Are you an ex-Muslim apostate?

As far as I’m concerned, the answer is no. I grew up with a traditionalist, Islamist-leaning understanding of Islam, which I have happily discarded away in 2008 in favor of my own individualist and rationalist understanding of Islam, one influenced by Sufi teachings on the nature of love and reality.

Hence, if anything, theologically speaking, I’m now a much happier, mentally-liberated, free thinking, ex-traditionalist Muslim heretic. But, generally speaking, I still very much do identify as a Muslim, albeit a liberal secular one.

Why is your ebooklet rudely entitled Dirty Muslim Blogging - The New Politics of Ignorance?

Download it here, read it and you’ll find out why. Really, there’s no crazy anti-Islam conspiracy involved here or anything of that sort.

You do realize you’re going to hell, don’t you?

Oh, well how nice and cute of you to play God by making such wonderful conclusions. Tell you what my dear pious friend, if you think I’m an evil bad Muslim who’s condemned to hell then I hope you go to heaven ‘cause I certainly don’t want to see your face in hell.

Why the hell do you write for that right-wing cesspool known as Pajamas Media?

Pajamas Media is indeed clearly right-leaning. And yes, it also publishes numerous inflammatory articles that do unfortunately attract some very deranged Islam and Muslim hating fascist bigots who enjoy turning the comments sections there into cesspools of closed-minded intolerance.

However, that doesn’t mean I should pack my bags and leave, and it doesn’t mean all people there are evil. In fact, I’ve come across very kind individuals at PJM (including some of its editors) who’ve been very polite and nice towards me.

Sure, we don’t agree on everything, but they’ve been generous enough to provide me with a platform from which I can speak my mind and engage the portion of their audience that’s willing to do the same in a civil manner.

Moreover, all articles I’ve submitted to them so far have hardly been edited, and I continue to be free to express my views there as I wish. Until that changes, I don’t see any reason for boycotting them or to stop publishing my thoughts there occasionally.

Are you opposed to religion?

Nope, because I do recognize the useful benefits that certain aspects of religious-faith provides to people. But simply put, I am openly and gladly opposed to numerous aspects of religion, primarily its dogmatic mind-restraining component, and its dangerous corrupting influence when fused with politics.

Just have a look at Iran and Saudi Arabia. Such wonderful free societies. Man, I can’t wait to move there one day.

Which political parties are you a member of?

None. However, I stand for freedom, respect for human rights and liberal democracy. Any party that truly upholds those values and is working hard to advance them gets thumbs up from me.

Why the hell do you link to MEMRI?

Yes, I’m very aware that MEMRI has a Zionist agenda. And no, a link to them does not equal support for their agenda. The reason I link to MEMRI and will continue to is simple. While they continue promoting videos featuring repulsive Arab and Muslim opinions from the Middle East, they also promote great videos featuring some amazing voices of sanity I would have never discovered otherwise. It is the latter videos I am interested in and that I keep looking out for.

You’re just a dumb self-hating Muslim, aren’t you?

Ah, thanks Mr. Freud Jr. You’re absolutely right, and I’m suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder too.

Here’s the deal.

The only reason I engage in self-critique of Muslim nations frequently is because I wish to see them progress. I am no longer interested in putting the blame for our own screw ups on the supposed grand conspiracies against Islam being stealthily waged by the evil Zionist CrUSAders.

Fine, then you’re probably just another self-hating Sudanese, aren’t you?

As much as I love Sudanese people, I also hate a lot of things about Sudanese people, so if you’re going to start calling me a self-hating Sudanese then too bad.

It still won’t discredit the fact that engaging in self-criticism once in a while is actually a good thing, because that is how you progress forward.

Denial simply keeps you stagnant in your rotten hole.

How dare you criticize Al-Qaeda?

If you don’t like me bashing al-Qaeda butchers and other blood thirsty retards then please grab a gun and shoot yourself.

When are you going to stop publishing this offensive bullshit of yours?

Erm, not anytime soon. And probably never, so, if you don’t like reading my thoughts here, then all you need to do is press Alt + F4, and I’m bye bye.

Really, nobody is forcing you to read this blog, so you don’t have to if it offends your highly delicate feelings.

Capiche? Alrighty then, thanks for visiting and have a wonderful stay. :)
