An Open Letter to the Sudanese Blogosphere
Dear fellow Sudanese bloggers,
I started my journey as a Sudanese blogger in April 2006. And believe me when I say that it began as a very lonely one. In fact, these were my very first words:
I dug around here and there until I was disappointed to realize there are no Sudanese bloggers out there […]
Kizzie: Sudanese Inferiority Complex & Pathetic Arab Coverage of Darfur
Kizzie wrote a nice post about Sudanese inferiority complex. I disagree with one small thing though. Inferiority complex is not implanted in every Sudanese but I would say most.
She also wrote a rather angry but really good post on the pathetic Arab coverage of Darfur. I feel you girl!
The problem is Sudan will rather be […]
Did I Get Mentioned in the Wall Street Journal?
Oh please tell me I did ’cause that would be coooool! I’m getting some hits from a Darfur-related article on their website but I can’t freaking view the full version. I have to be a subscriber to be able to do that. I can only read a tiny preview. Grrrr!! Anybody here a WSJ subscriber?
Some Bugs Remaining
Please accept my apologies if you’re experiencing any problems with loading the blog, the posts or the comments section and you keep getting a blank page. Apparently there is a new bug that I need to resolve. I’m working on it right now and I’ll update this post once I’m done. If you’re still facing […]
All Countries Except Israel
A new cool blog by a Southern Sudanese named Sudanese Returnee has sprung up. She (he?) has written an interesting post that you should check out:
Technically speaking, Sudan is in a state of war with Israel! Sudanese passports are stamped “all countries except Israel” and they risk execution if the government learns that they have […]
How Addicted to Blogging Are You?
I took the test, the results are in, and they are. Not. Good.
85%How Addicted to Blogging Are You?
Besides reading dozens of sociopolitical blogs almost daily, I also read many entrepreneurship related blogs which you can find in this list here. On top of that I also read some blogs about blogging and others about Web […]
New Look, New Feel, Bugs Fixed
As you can see, the old look is now bye bye. This is the new clean and simple look as of now. Well, sort of… I still need to re-decorate the theme and organize the side bars. The blogroll needs to be shortened and organized too. And don’t worry the banner will be back soon. […]
Linkies For Today
I’m still busy and I can’t manage to fix the bug in the comments section yet. I guess I might just get a new theme and modify it. It’s time for a new look anyway. But before that, here are some linkies for today:
1- Sudan ordered to pay $8 million to Cole victims’ families […]
Back On Campus
Yup and currently busy getting settled down again which means less blogging activity within this week. I’ll also fix the annoying bug in the comments section soon. Peace!
Phew!
Ah, yes finally. I’m back again. Been way too busy. Done with my internship which lasted for about half a year and now getting ready to go back to my campus. Blogging to resume in about 12 hours. Need to get some sleep now.
UPDATE: By the way, I’m in the process of evolving this blog […]
You Might Experience Some Downtime AGAIN!
Sigh! Me sincerely apologize to you all. I’m doing fine and well but just busy with a few things. Blog techie issues also need to be fully resolved. It should take a few days, hopefully 2 or 3 at the most. After that I’ll be back in business with lots of posts. Cheers!
We’re BACK!!
Phew! Sorry this took quite a while. Long story but now everything “behind the scenes” seems to be running smoothly and the techie issues are almost resolved. Blogging shall resume soon.
You Might Experience Some Downtime
I’m fixing up some technical stuff “behind the scenes”. The blog might look a bit messy. Maybe you won’t even be able to view it for a day or 2 but hopefully that won’t happen. Just letting you know. Peace.
Big Pharaoh Is BACK!
Yaaaaaaaaaay! I just discovered his return today. I have to say that I’m pretty damn happy to see him back blogging again. BP you were dearly missed! For those of you who don’t know, reading Big Pharaoh’s blog was the main reason I started blogging. He also gave me my first link and was very […]
Defeating the Victimhood Mentality: Climbing Out of the Hole We Dug For Ourselves
Victimhood, Personal-Success Literature, & the Social Construction of Reality
My intention with this series of posts isn’t to answer questions or provide solutions. I’m simply pondering and thinking aloud in the hope of getting you to think along.
Growing up, I’ve had too many mostly seemingly unrelated interests and lacked a focus on one particular topic. […]
