TV Debate On “Boom Boom” Education In Arab Schools - HILARIOUS! Must-Watch Video :)

by Drima on October 14, 2009

This  is too damn funny! If you understand Arabic, you’re gonna laugh your ass. If you don’t, read the translations, and you’re still going to laugh your ass off.

Don’t you just love these clowns? :)

That Al-Azhar scholar (the same Al-Azhar Obama spoke at and praised) belongs in an episode of… taraaa… The Holy Room!

Seriously though, the paranoia on this one is staggering. Although, I’m glad this debate is gaining more and more momentum so that the Arab public can get more informed, and hopefully reform the current education system in regards to that important issue.

But beware, most of za bearded ones will fight! Especially in za wahhabi kingdom.

If we have za sexi education, za arab worrrlid iz eegoing to be bigger immorality, and zat is a big broblim.

BROBLIM I TELL YOU!

Za youngi boyz and girrrlz will be, erm, you know, sorry, zat iz dirty word, but you know what zey weel do?

HARAM!

No, no, we musti fight za zionist sexi shops.

LOL.

Yay to baby-making factories!

Let’s have more. LOL. :D

HAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA……cough couch….hhahah

Way to funny, needed that, but on a serious note good to see arab liberals talking about issues that have been kept in the basement for way too long.

Oh and those sex shops in London………….ive seen similar stuff in the markets of Damascus, Cairo, Beirut…….

“That Al-Azhar scholar”

He doesn’t seem to know that much about sex, sex education, or life in general.

But the way he travels interests me.

Now I am not, I am sure, in his view an upstanding moral citizen like he is, but when I visited London I didn’t see any sex shops and spent most of my time in a cafe in a book store. Perhaps the problem is not with the low moral standards he sees in others but in what he does when he visits foreign cities. He should visit more book stores and fewer sex shops.

Among more than just a few, I assume Ibrahim Al-Khouli represents clarity of thought. Such ignorance and backward views points are frightening. Calling one such as him a scholar insults the word. Alas, whatelse is new?

So, am I to understand from this guy that little boys having sex with their sisters is ‘one of the biggest problems’ in the Arab world? No wonder they need sex ed.

6 lynne 10.15.09 at 12:03 am

LOL! I thought I’d fall out of my chair laughing! The Al-Azhar scholar is finding what he is looking for, and the man is obviously preoccupied with sex. How did he manage to see the sex shops in London, because it would seem that he would not happen upon them, but would have to search them out. He with his warped perspective sees danger in sex everywhere, but I was astonished that he managed to blame the fictitious “Elders of Zion” —how strange. But how amusing to watch! Thanks for the video and post, Drima!

LOL, glad you enjoyed the video guys. :)

What we need is more liberal-minded Muslims like that Egyptian author who want to promote genuine science.

8 Andrew Brehm 10.15.09 at 9:33 am

“What we need is more liberal-minded Muslims like that Egyptian author”

I think you also need more clerics who don’t go to sex shops in London.

9 Suzanne 10.15.09 at 1:07 pm

Aw, it is a shame that only excerpts are shown. Would have loved to see the whole debate. :)

10 Suzanne 10.15.09 at 1:08 pm

btw, the (fabricated) protocols came into existence after Karl Marx died. So how come, he connects the two?

11 Andrew Brehm 10.15.09 at 1:43 pm

“So how come, he connects the two?”

Is it possible that he is an idiot? :-)

12 Suzanne 10.15.09 at 3:00 pm

Of course :)

13 Marie Claude 10.15.09 at 9:42 pm

uh, I was wondering how long is a goat pregnancy by his standards ?

14 Mazen Mason 10.16.09 at 11:09 am

It’s not hilarious or funny at all…

It’s truly sad..

15 Rima 10.16.09 at 4:32 pm

I don’t think it is at all funny. It is horrific that such thinking, first of all is representing a historically renowned institution and secondly is allowed air time on a respected media outlet.

I just woke up in the middle of the dark ages of an old region.

16 Suzanne 10.17.09 at 9:31 pm

I’m living in a countries with many sex shops and I’m living in a neighborhood with many pious Muslims. Guess who I see strolling around in those streets most of the time? It’s pathetic, deceiving and disgusting, really.

17 Suzanne 10.17.09 at 9:31 pm

countries = country

18 Andrew Brehm 10.17.09 at 11:57 pm

“Guess who I see strolling around in those streets most of the time?”

The more pious, the more eyeous, eh?

Doesn’t surprise me in the least. The moment that “scholar” said that he saw many sex shops in London it was clear to me why he saw them.

(I have nothing against sex shops or people who see them. But I wouldn’t make someone who specialises in seeing them a “cleric”.)

19 Don Cox 10.20.09 at 11:42 am

Well, in spite of all the strange ideas, the number of Egyptians keeps on increasing. So Nature must find a way. ;-)

20 Drima 10.20.09 at 12:12 pm

LOL! :D

21 Suzanne 10.20.09 at 9:39 pm

I once heard someone say that the close to the Vatican the more swearing you heard during the catholic parades. :)

I wonder what those Taliban ppl do in their free time….

22 Suzanne 10.20.09 at 9:40 pm

damn it’s late

the closeR to the Vatican… you hear

23 gazelledusahara 10.30.09 at 10:20 pm

SA,

First off, I love your blog! You have some pretty insightful ideas :)

I watched this for class, and must agree that this was an entertaining debate, the pro-sex education dude totally schooled him. Interesting to watch to say the least.

24 TeacherLady 11.24.09 at 7:52 pm

Oh that was hilarious! I especially like your written approximation of the accent there, Drima. Quite accurate. :)
