What an effing hypocrite:

Tehran’s police chief, Reza Zarei, has been arrested after he was found nude in a local brothel with six naked prostitutes, the Farda news website reported Wednesday.

… Over the past year Zarei was in charge of enforcing the Islamic dress code on Iranian women with the purpose of “moralizing of the city.”

It is alleged that in the past six months, hundreds of young people have been arrested in Iran for not respecting the Islamic code of behavior.

The immensity of this disgusts me but hardly surprises me. Are they gonna stone him to death? Lash his filthy butt? Oh yeah, like that’s ever gonna happen. You see, “Islamic” law is just a way to gain power, oppress people and hide behind a veil of piety.

Gosh, I need a glass of ice cold water. Muslim Heretics Conference anyone?

    Now this is just immoral! He should have married the women for an hour before he went at it.

    Seriously, this time I agree with the mad mullahs. This man belongs punished. (Although I am sure they will either dismiss the charges or hang him. There is no real justice in Iran.)

    Sunnis in Iran reject the practice of sigheh (hour-marriages) as a form of illicit sex. I agree with them.

    Why should he be punished by more than losing his job? He will be punished enough by becoming a laughing stock.

    In practice, I expect the women will be severeley punished, maybe even killed, while he will get off with a very light sentence or none at all.

    He was supposed to enforce morality laws and obviously neglected his duties by promoting prostitution in his city.

    I think that that combination is a punishable offence. I disagree with Iran’s “morality” laws (and the idea that any such laws should be enforced), but I do agree that anyone charged with enforcing those laws should not encourage the behaviour he is supposed to restrict.

    Yes. That’s exactly what the mad mullahs will do. There is no justice in Iran.

    Alternatively, they make up some other charges that would explain his immoral behaviour and justify a death penalty (Zionist agent).

    This will allow the mad mullahs to

    1. Punish him for putting Iran into (another) bad light.

    2. Justify the punishment without creating the impression that a man can be punished like a woman for illicit sex.

    3. Show how illegal prostitution (i.e. prostitution without hour-marriage) is a symptom of Zionism.

    4. Blame the Jews.

    You are saying he should be punished for not enforcing, or being hypocritical about, laws that shouldn’t exist in the first place. I say it is a bad law and he should not be punished.

    What consenting adults do in private is nobody else’s business, provided it doesn’t lead to a need for expensive (to the taxpayer) health treatment afterwards. OTOH if we find out what people are doing in private, we are allowed to laugh. Or be envious.
