It looks like you guys might need an outlet to express your opinions on the random events happening in the world, the latest Gaza-Israel crisis. Consider this an open thread so that other posts will remain on topic.

I’ve got a long draft saved up containing what I think about it. It seems that some are waiting to read my ehm, non-conformist ideas, so I’ll publish the post in a few hours from now later today, or tomorrow. Meanwhile, I have to run for my classes.

OK guys, here we go. But don’t forget the ground rules:

    1. If a Jew was somehow involved in the killing of an Arab, it’s a “massacre”.

    2. Israel is an evil supremacist racist country, no matter how often Arabs scream “Death to the Jews!” and how little rights non-Arab minorities enjoy in Arab countries.

    3. Israel is a Nazi country, regardless of the fact that it was the Arab movements in the land of Israel that were allied with the Nazis.

    4. Zionists are Nazis, despite the fact that Nazis put Zionists (Jewish such and their non-Jewish collaborators) into death camps.

    5. Arabs are innocent victims and shooting rockets at kindergartens is a) brave and b) legitimate resistance. Those Jewish kids are REALLY nasty and need to be resisted! Especially the four-year-olds are… [rant about nasty Jewish children]!

So let’s all sing the Horst-Wessel-Lied lied together and demand death for the Jews, like Hamas does, so that fascism will finally be defeated.

The party founded by the nephew of Hitler’s Bosnian SS fuhrer can then make sure that it doesn’t happen again by solving the Jewish question for good.

I know the evil Zionists among us here will criticise my peace plan, but every progressively-minded man knows that Zionism equals Nazism and that hence only a defeat of Zionism and the Jewish state can save the world.

Not even a Zionist can deny that Israel’s defeat and an Arab invasion will definitely put an end to anti-Semitism and racism between Jews and Arabs in the middle east within a week or two.

And I accuse, I accuse Israel’s Zionist government of doing what it does ONLY to stop that from happening!

Without Israel’s oppression “Palestinians” could finally live in peace, like the Shiites in Iraq did, or in prosperity, like the Egyptians in the slums. Without Israel’s oppression nationalist Arab governments could finally treat “Palestinians” as their own.

    And all sarcasm aside,

G-d help them if that ever happens.

Why is Israel building hospitals in cities Hamas wants to shell?

Typical Zionist evil, building hospitals in civilian areas that are obvious targets for the resistance.

I would like to quote Einstein (1951):

“My share in the production of the atom bomb consisted in a single act. I signed a letter to President Roosevelt in which I stressed the necessity of making experiments on a large scale to check the possibility of making an atom bomb. I was fully aware of the dreadful risk which the success of these undertakings implied for humanity. But the likelihood that the Germans might be working on the same problem with a prospect of success compelled me to this step. There was no other way for me, although I have always been a convinced pacifist.”

    In other words:
sometimes its unfortunatelly necessary to use the fist instead of the mouth if you know the other part who is out there for destroying you use the fist first.

    @Andrew,

No one minute of silence by the UN human rights council for the real martyrs fallen in Congo:
    http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2008/01/20/2142390.htm

but they are not Jews, of course.

Though recently I was reminded by a man from Burundi that during the horrible genocide in Ruanda the Hutu’s actually accused the Tutsi’s being Jews. Bodies of dead Tutsi’s were dumped symbolically into the Nile so they would take them to the direction of Israel.

    How nice.
    :(

But anyway, I have not heard from it before and there is not much to be found on the internet about Hutu propoganda.

    I found this though:

I said though, but the story of congo and rwanda are not the same of course. I did not want to make a connection there.

I am waiting for some concerned progressive to remind us that the Tutsis are probably also Nazis and the Hutus were just resisting fascism.

Colombians are nazis as “Colombia is the Israel of Latin-America” (c) Hugo Chavez

    :)

  8. Roman Kalik on March 5th, 2008 3:36 pm

Well of course Colombia is the Israel of Latin-America. That’s what happens when you attack Marxist terrorist groups, only to find that they have bases in the country next door (Ecuador). Apparently, attacking terrorists who wish to make a “Glorious People’s Republic” out of your country is a cause for war, but allowing them to attack your neighbor from your land isn’t. Funny, that.

I just hope that that old-school Socialist Chavez doesn’t complete his self-fulfilling prophesies and start a “preemptive” war to save the region from the brutal Colombia.

Of course, the fact that Chavez quite openly supports FARC and ELN in word, if not with actual arms and funds, is beside the point. It is quite irrelevant. No sir, no use paying attention to that. Or to the fact that in the same speech where he compared Colombia to Israel, Chavez said that Colombia must be “liberated” of “US influence”.

All I can say is, South America just got a Nasser. Cry havoc! And let slip the dogs of war…

“All I can say is, South America just got a Nasser. Cry havoc! And let slip the dogs of war…”

    That’s where he got to…

There was a saying in Germany in the 50s:

“Hitler fled into the North Sea and swam to Egypt where he re-appeared as Nasser.” (”Nasser” means “wet one” in German.)

I was wondering what had happened to him since.

Those bodies can’t make it to Israel because Egypt built this big dam that blocked the water and drove a whole bunch of Nubians out of their homes. Of course…that is not a refugee problem.

But if the Jews built that dam…then damn..we would still be hearing about the refugees.
