Yes, We Men Can’t Control Ourselves

Remember Hanan al-Turk’s cute hangout spot? Well now she has more to say:

She said she doesn’t allow unveiled women into her salon because she would be aiding them to sin: “Unveiled women coming out of my beauty center will arouse men and I can’t be part of that.”

It’s one thing when chauvinist bearded men blame a raped a women for getting raped because she was dressed up in sexy clothes. However, it’s another thing completely when a woman gets brainwashed with that kind of garbage and agrees with it. Next week she’ll probably tell us she’s also a feminist.

Excuse me while I go and bang my head on a wall.

This woman has got to be the stupidist person ever, whoever brainwashed her did one hell of a job.

    Unfreakingbelievable.

If there are women who think this way, then they totally deserve being treated this way.

Never underestimate the power of stupid women, especially in large groups and positions of influence…

I despair when people like *her* say stuff like that, it doesn’t give much hope for the many poor downtrodden women. Perhaps Hanan should pay a visit to Saudi where rape is the silent epidemic despite the fact that all of the women are covered in black abayas from head to toe, for most of the time. Figures.

Everyone agrees that we are responsible for our actions. If I was to steal a car and then defend my actions by saying: oh but I couldn’t help myself because it was so sleek and shiny and had such fine looking chasse. It’s the fault of the car or the makers of the car- I’d still get done for stealing and probably done for talking crap. In all areas of wrong doing, people are held responsible for their actions but in rape/sexual assault, it’s the fault of the car.

I don’t see anything wrong with it. In fact, I commend it. Veiled women get a certain level of respect from me and I am more likely to look lustfully at an unveiled woman than a veiled one.
Maybe we should praise Hanan Turk for encouraging the Hijab and being courageous enough to avoid being part of the sinful situation of men looking lustfully at women all fixed up, coming out of a hair salon.
