Dedicated to All Our Wonderful “Leaders”

by Drima on February 6, 2008

Sorry non-Arabic speakers, it’s too bad you won’t get this because it’s a seriously hilarious diss to our wonderful “leaders”. The Egyptian Adel Imam is too funny. May he live long and prosper.

“Oh Lord, kill all the people so that when those leaders wake up in the morning next day, they’ll have no one to rule”. - A rough translation of one line that killed me with laughter.

To the others who understand Arabic, enjoy! :D

My mother loves this guy (which is odd, she’s so anti-Egyptian).

I personally don’t get it. :\

thanks Drima! that’s probably the funniest bit, followed closely by: ‘ God ruin the person who likes the leader from the outside but hates him on the inside. Rough translation of’e5reb beyethom’.

Drima, if you like that kind of comedy, then check out ‘ta5areef’ with mohamed sobhy. Same kind of thing, poking fun at dictatorial regimes, but more politically oriented and more to do with the Sadat era. Both plays were revolutionary for their time- they took a lot of risks saying what they did.
