Yes, tell them. Please tell them. And when Egyptian soldiers shoot Darfurians trying to cross into Israel and beat them to death it’s just a blip on the radar.

While i agree that the mentality exist, i disagree that it is motivated by color. Almost all of my paternal family is black (not brown or tanned but BLACK) but i have never seen black egyptians (who are many) being discriminated in any way, in fact, Anwar al-Sadat was what in Egypt would be called “asmarany”, brown man.
I think it is the egyptian view towards what they see as “people of low status” (like sudanese) rather than “black people”. “They are backwards”. And this mentality is killing us egyptians who want to live up to (what is left of) our reputation as a people of hospitality.
We have our own share of racism too, in some cases pretty ugly especially towards our fellow Sudanese from the South.
As for Egyptians, I think they’re more classist than they are racist.
A blip? What blip? Must of bliped right passed me.
I had to laugh…
One guy on Sandmonkey is saying the Egyptians are shooting and beating these guys because Israel is ordering it…
They don’t shoot Bedouins and Palestinians smuggling bomb material and weapons…but gonna blast a brotha because ISRAEL ordered it…should I cry or laugh?
I’ll do the laughing, you do the crying.
“One guy on Sandmonkey is saying the Egyptians are shooting and beating these guys because Israel is ordering it…”
I think that’s the same guy who on Mideastyouth did not only believe the 600,000 Iraq victims story but immediately blamed the US for it and showed not even a minimum of critical thinking.
You just tell him that the Jews or America did X, and if X is bad, he will not only believe it but use it as an argument to prove the next possibility X+1.
A blip in the radar? What blip? Must of bliped right passed me.
