Heh. When I saw this pic, I thought “hey, that’s me when I was 5!”.
Then I realized that this kid has the luxury of sitting on actual pavement
I don’t know. I see productivity. The kid gets to go to school and he gets to help his parents while also getting his homework done. The kid has clothes to wear and doesn’t seem under nourished. As long as he and any money he collects is safe I don’t see a problem. Now, show me some sweatshop pictures of mal nourished kids who DON’T even get an opportunity to dream about school or full bellies and you’ll get some serious emotions out of me. Oh yeah, don’t get me started on the poor kids having to be soldiers in those African wars. This kid here has it made compared to a LOT of kids in this world.
my mum’s uncle (sudanese born and raised) wrote and published a book about the jews of sudan.. i should be getting a copy soon.. ill let you know the title once i get it..
Nice way of seeing it Lynn.
