Egypt: Hanan al-Turk’s “No Christians Allowed” Hangout Spot

by Drima on November 27, 2007

Sandmonkey has the story. Thank you Muslim Brotherhood. Egyptian society is more cohesive thanks to your wonderful holy efforts and will continue to be.

Equality between women and men? Equality between Muslims and non-Muslims? Raaaight!

The place is owned by Hanan al-Turk. Big Pharaoh blogged an amusing post in the past showing her “holy transformation”. I’m guessing we’ll find Hala Sheeha and her chilling together. Who’s Hala Sheeha you say? She underwent a more extreme “holy transformation”. Check it out here.

The retarded fanatics in Sudan who took to the streets after Friday prayer as the Imam (prayer leader) encouraged them to denounce British Teacher’s inocent effort to reach out to her student(kids) families with a touch of humantarian support.
The response of that child was typically a response of any child in his age the world over .
“These little creatures are so inoncent when they are so near to god” This quotation I read in school long time ago by C.Dickens in one of his novles.
These fanatics are creaitng fuss for no valid cause. I had my secondary education in The Catholic Church School i.e. Combone College - El Obeid city - Capital of Kodufan. We were so respected by our priest teachers that one of them who was teaching Catachesim i.e the christian doctrine, converted to Islam only because we had demonstrated mutual respect for him. I think the meassage from this experience is clear to thos real muslims.

Would I feel offended if it were an All-Christian chill-out spot in the UAE?Not at all!

There are clubs(nightclubs to be precise)in Dubai that ban Hijabees and Niqabees and unlike Egypt, this is a pre-dominantly Muslim country.

Why is Sandmonkey worked up about it? We, the Hijabees, finally get an opportunity to be in a place entirely ours.It doesn’t necessarily has to have a discriminatory element to it.

I have nothing against Christians but I would love to hang out in a place where a common ground is shared:)

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HIPSTER’S COMMENT”COMMON GROUNDS”. SUDDNLY COMMON GROUNDS ARE BASED ON RELGION NOW?. WHAT ABOUT THE FACT THAT WE ALL BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, THAT WE ARE ALL HUMANS, ALL EGYPTIANS/ARABS ,SIMILAR VALUES, AND SIMILAR TRADITIONS. IF UR COMMON GROUNDS R BASED ON WHTHER PEOPLE BELIEVE IN MOUHAMAD OR NOT, THEN I WOULD BE DISHONORED TO MEET U IN ONE PLACE HIPSTER. PEOPLE LIKE YOU R THE CAUSE OF TERERISM
AND CIVIL WARS.
HANAN TURK HAS BASICALLY DISPLAYED AN ISLAMIC EXTREEMIST VIEW WHICH I BELIEVE PROVES HER NARROW MIND . WHO IS SHE TO EXCLUDE PEOPLE FROM A CAFE, BASED ON RELIGIOUS VIEWS. IF I WERE LIVING IN EGYPT I WOULD HAPPILY INVEST IN A CAFE NEXT DOOR TO HANAN’S CAFE. BUT MINE WILL BE FOR PEACEFUL, LOVING HUMAN BEINGS. I WOULD ALSO SAY “PLEASE DO NOT BRING ALONG EXTREEMIST MUSLIMS AS THEY R NOT WELCOME”.
