Yaaay! He won! Phew! Hey come on, I’m not a Zionist agent. I’m just looking at the bright side. At least Netanyahu’s challenger, crazy Moshe Feiglin got defeated:

Netanyahu faced a relatively strong challenge from Moshe Feiglin, a radical West Bank settler, whose performance in Tuesday’s primary could help shore up the extreme right wing of the party and hurt Netanyahu’s efforts to rehabilitate Likud after it was battered in national elections last year.

…Feiglin’s platform calls for barring Arabs from Israel’s parliament, encouraging non-Jews to emigrate and pulling Israel out of the United Nations. He is viewed as extreme even by many Israeli settlers.

Yaaay! :)

“relatively strong opposition”? Relative to what, thin air? Feiglin never stood a chance. Netanyahu got hurt politically because he had lower himself to face the man in the primaries. This was little more than a political stunt by Silvan Shalom (who was the chief opponent, and who deliberately withdrew from the primaries) in an attempt to safeguard his position in the next primaries by harming Netanyahu’s image today.

Heh. Politics is part shit, part blood, part haggling… but mostly deceit.

Silvan Shalom is *all* deceit. He’s little more than an Israeli John Kerry, meaning a total asshole with a rich wife. Even Bibi, with his image of a crooked used car salesman, is someone the average Joe Israeli can relate to somewhat. Shalom is a person whom the average Israeli sees as a snob.
