The CEO Mayor: New York’s Mike Bloomberg For President?

Me liked this article on Business Week. Maybe you will too. Bloomberg for President? New Yorkers what do you think? I don’t like Giuliani. I’d prefer to see John McCain win from the Elephant side since he’s someone I actually have respect for. Even though I don’t agree with all his views, I think he’s the best the Elephants have to offer. The rest, either I don’t know much about or I just don’t like. As for Bloomberg, I don’t much about him except for what I just read in this pro-Bloomberg article. And in case you’re wondering, from the Donkey side, I’d prefer to see Hillary. Not so sure about Obama anymore (even though he’s such a good and passionate speaker compared to boring robotic Hillary. Seriously, I’m not American and even I was moved by this, [forward to 3:20]).

Bleh, I have a headache. If only Colin Powell was running for President. Making a choice could have been a lot easier. Americans, enjoy your ‘08 elections! They’re going to be of paramount importance for the future of your country and the Middle East.

I’m pro-Giuliani myself. Bloomberg’s been effective as a Mayor; in fact, it’s quite surprising how little flack he’s getting from this most Democratic of towns, compared to Giuliani.

However, Bloomberg is too soft-spoken. Giuliani is an eloquent, forceful speaker, with great persuasive powers. His term as mayor basically set the stage for Bloomberg’s bloom.

Having suffered with a president for two-terms who is by all accounts a verbal stumblebum, I think we need to see an example of a leader who leads through the use of superior oratorical skills. Giuliani has that in spades.

Colin Powell is milquetoast. He gravely underestimated the French capacity for duplicity. That blunder lost the State Department a lot of say-so in the running of Iraq, post-Saddam (the Defence Department basically took over the whole job). He places too much concern on what allies think. He doesn’t know that they’re really not thinking about anything else other than what the US would do next? If that’s the case, ignore them, Colin, and start thinking about what to do next.

What’s wrong with Giuliani? As Finnpundit said, he is an excellent orator, has a superb record as a leader, sane liberal views on personal matters and sane conservative views on public matters.

Hell, I’d vote for him to be the Israeli Prime Minister :)

“Hell, I’d vote for him to be the Israeli Prime Minister.”

    What about his sane views?

Bloomberg stands for nothing and will not garner much support from anyone.
