I love it! So true. LOL. :)

    That’s a great article! Thanks for pointing that out, Drima.

    I’ve become rather depressed lately when it comes to the blogosphere, as it seems that it has become infused with trolls who simply do not appreciate alternative, contrasting points-of-view. And as I had become an enthusiastic supporter of blogging (a lot of my political opinions have been shaped by the blogosphere), I really feared that this might turn out to be a fad that will fade, in the end.

    The key is to have more responsible blogsite owners who know how to set the rules, but at the same time know how to be tolerant, even when some of the views expressed might not be to their liking. In that regard, I tend to think you’ve done an admirable job, Drima.

    One reason is because I always try to read articles like the above and find ways of engaging the readers better while keeping the environment healthy.

    Good article, and great quote. It sums up the real impact of trolling nicely.

    There are several good blogs out there that I’d like to read, but as I’m the kind of person who can’t simply read but also has to comment, I tend to get discouraged quite easily when I see that there’s a resident bastard or two in the comment section.

    Total freedom is just a word, and once someone’s total freedom means others lose their freedom to comment, someone has to go. And that someone is the dude who is so focused on taking other people’s freedom.
