A Shamarat member commented the following:
This saddens me so much…. Where is this Arab brotherly community we are so proud to brag about? Where is this compassion, us being civil, Muslims, where the hell is that? Huh yet we take the time to come up with elaborate schemes of the Jews & Americans trying to colonize Sudan and it’s oil… while those same Jews we Love to despise are doing more than our ‘Islamic’ Government Will or Can do… what a shame
Sad but unfortunately true! And you know what’s even better? A few days ago I read an article in the Sudanese Arabic newspaper Al-Rayaam that had a truly hilarious title. Rough translation… “The Jewnization of Sudanese Refugees in Israel“. Crap, is Jewnization even a word? Maybe “piggy apization” is a better term.

*stares at the translated article headline*
Um…
*stares some more*
I’m not sure if I should laugh or be sad at the conspiracy-”logic” that had to be discussed before this… masterpiece was reached.
Even someone totally saturated in prejudice and conspiracy-theories might say “WTF?!” at this one.
As for the Shamarat member, that’s a dude who sees reality. Good for him, and us. Humanity seems to be sorely lacking in this department.
Drima-
Love you braddah for being on top of this…God bless your open, honest and kind soul.
I just spent the entire week with my dear friend Mohamed Yahya of www.damanga.org
I heard story after story that tore at my heart.
This is not a simple situation of just good guys and bad guys and I know that…but it is still the probably the worse humanitarian situation of this century.
Mohamed’s honesty reminds me of Drima. We discussed these guys in Israel…Mohamed’s response:
“Israel really has no choice but to keep these guys in detention. Sudan has a history of housing folks like none other than Osama Bin Laden. Out of these 300, there could be just one or two who slipped in to do terrible mischief. All reports are that the guys in detention are being treated in a mostly very decent manner while they are being investigated”.
So all please be careful when word gets thrown around that these guys are “imprisoned”…that is misleading and does not tell the whole story.
Mohamed’s message remains the same: “Do not judge people by their religion or color or origin, but by their hearts and actions”.
Anybody gonna argue with that? Meeting this man has been a college education in itself.
“The Jewnization of Sudanese Refugees in Israel“.
Beats the hell outta murdering them, no?
