Here are the 3 main reasons:

1- The Muslims being killed are “dark blackies” so that makes them less Muslim.

2- The killers are fellow Muslims or ehm ehm “Muslims” and NOT Zionist “piggy apes” CrUSAders.

3- The Muslims being killed are… no wait, killed? KILLED? Are they really? But I thought this whole thing is a lie being propagated by “piggy apes” and is simply part of their Zionist conspiracy against the Muslim ummah.

Hate to admit it, but its just so true…
You know, I had a job offer from an NGO here in Sudan, and I was excited for one reason, I might get more trusted info on what is truely going on in darfur since this NGO has offices there!

I still think it is primarily a #2…but you could add Jooz or Europeans or Americans. If it was America OR Israel…doing even 100th the damage…all hell would break loose in much of the Muslim world.

It reminds me of a story I heard about Issac Rabin. He was in a debate with some Egyptian leader who confronted him with the fact that Israel used napalm during the 73 war.

Rabin did not deny it and talk about how it was not forbidden according to Geneva conventions…blah blah…

Then Rabin said…”and what about the use of poison gas during the Yemen civil war”…

It is said the answer was “what we Arabs do to each other is nobody’s business”.

I heard Mohamed Yahyah speak at UCLA last year, afterwards I was talking to a South African black and asked him a similar question about the killings and wars in Africa and how not a lot is said, even in the black community. I asked him “now what do you think would happen if it was white people doing it”. And he said…”dude people would go nuts”. When I asked him why the difference….he had no answer…neither did I. Then it hit me and I think I have heard this before.

Many blacks hate white people much more than they love black people. I think the same general concept applies in Darfur.

Oh and like I have said here before…by FAR the biggiest killer and torturer and repressor of Muslims are…Muslims:
Iran
Iraq
Sudan
Algeria
Lebanon

Those alone would add to to at least 1.5-2 million souls in the past 20+ years….

I think reason 2 definitely but also reason 3 predominantly in the diaspora where Muslims are so overcome by the victim mentality that they will believe anything is a Zionist conspiracy and we are all victims of an evil media run by Jews and intent on damaging the name of Islam. What do we need the media to do that for? We’re doing a bloody good job of it ourselves. But people don’t see that- it’s too hard to look inward- much easier to look out and blame others for your own maladies.

I also think that reason 1 and 2 go hand in hand- ie the people doing the killing are Muslims and they’re only killing blacks anyway.

I find much of the Arab world to be very racist. My first encounter with it was when I was teaching English in Egypt and the Egyptian students refused to sit next to a Sudanese student because he was black. These kids were young and I just thought to myself how is it that kids so young can be so racist- obviously the parents- I think it’s child abuse to raise your kids with hate.

“Mohamed, how many Darfurians or Sudanese have been killed or injured by Jews?”

To his great credit…I could sense a light go on…

We have several Sudanese friends in JO who tell us this is what others say. For someone who grew up in the 60s, and has heard quite a bit from Nation of Islam followers about the Ummah, I was quite surprised.

Yes it is shocking. But remember that in Egyptian society the fairer you are the better you fare! That is why there is such a big market for whitening creams and blonde hair dye- people don’t want to be dark- they aspire to be white. A woman who has fair skin, light eyes and blonde hair will be looked on as beautiful even if she has a face that resembles the dog’s dinner while a dark skinned beauty will be looked on with sympathy- “she’s pretty but it’s a shame she is dark”. Most Arab nations have the same attitude.
It’s a sad fact that the basest form of racism- that based on skin colour- is still prevalent in this day and age.

Funny….I remember in the 80’s in Israel…every Friday night they would play an Egyptian movie (there were like 2 channels back then)…

It was always the same theme…some bumbling Egyptian guy getting into fights…then suddenly an orchestra would play and a white looking somewhat chubby blonde with large mammaries would start doing a belly dance…same plot….never saw no darkies…except big guys that looked like slave or bodyguard types in M.C. Oh & btw: it was not until (I don’t know exactly, but I think it were the late 90’s) that non-blondies were used as models in israeli society as well. Israeli’s tend to show how way out on the edge they are…what incredible rebels…so you will ALWAYS see breasts…even if it is a film about butterflies or something…see the flight of the butterfly…breasts pop out…If getting really funky…maybe a wiennie…maybe…but tits…you gonna get some Jew tits…guarented more common than National Geographic.

So then to get edgier they might throw in some homosexual stuff…got to say “fuck” (did you no there are NO swear words in Hebrew..NONE..we borrow from English and Arabic)…

Everybody tends to be very cynical since life is always dark and way out on the edge…

Comedies are often good…Jew humor is good…the other films are pretty much what a group of 9th graders would come up with while they are spanking the monkey.;

Hi Drima. Let’s keep it real. It is not a muslim or christian or jewish or what else there is… It is bad African leadership! I like the fact the AU sidestepped Sudan. Bashir is not a leader nor are the rebels commanders… this all a waster of precious life…

Nobody cares about Africa and African people. Even if we african people care about our fellow africans what can we do. Yeah if Sudan was in Europe, there would be more attention… but look how long it took Europe to react to Bosnia…

On the isse of dark skin or light skin.. man that is just classical inferiority complex… it is nothing unique to sudan or egypt … anywhere in the world is like that.. in most developing countries…

I worked in mexico before.. and about 40% of the mexican population is native or indian. But man you do not be indian in mexico.. I had a hard time finding a native or indian person in any leadership or with decent position.. if you are mesizo(mix) you are ok… if you are a spaniard(white), you are set…
But indian? and you know these indians built pyramids like the nubian and egyptians..

You can look at israeli where the ethiopian jewish are treated like second class citizens…

Heh. It’s so simple, bro - nobody cares about other people’s shit. In the same way I seldom occupy myself with thoughts on the absolutely horrible genocide that went on in East Timor. So Indonesia occupied them, genocided 30% of the population, completely and utterly destroyed everything (leaving the East Timorese to starve with their rape-children) and took over their resources (oil, baby). It’s absolutely and utterly horrifying… but most people never even HEARD of this, and most of those who did couldn’t care less. Even if they pretend to care, they don’t - they have their own shit to deal with, mortgages to pay, TV to watch, enemies to fend off…

This is why nobody cares about Darfur - it has no effect outside Africa. You can’t use it for propaganda purposes (no piggy apes involved). There’re no resources there that you can get to. There is no large and influential Darfurian diaspora that can campaign for it. There is no danger the fighting is going to spill over into their countries. So people just… don’t care.

BTW, I grew up on Middle East Television - a Lebanese Christian channel. They had loads of Christian propaganda along with Star Trek and stuff. Almost everything was in English

Israeli cinema - most of it is crap. The older movies are almost exclusively about war (”Two Fingers from Sydon” is probably the most famous). Some of the new ones are pretty good, though - “Walk on Water” is excellently made, has a great soundtrack and won some international awards. “The Bubble” is gay in more ways than one and has that “post-Zionist” leftie rot in it, but is nicely made. Oh, and there is actually a really good Israeli movie - TLV (Total Love). It’s kind of like GO, only very, very Israeli - about the drugs, backpacking and psychodelic trance karkhana subculture of Israeli youth.

Not this again… I honestly have no desire to go over the same argument over and over again. But, you know what, I’ll just say a little bit about it.

The Jewish Diaspora in Ethiopia was mostly scattered in small, rural villages. Guess what - they had no skills needed in Israel. Sustenance herding, gathering and farming are not exactly high-demand skills here. The government did what it could, but it’s stupid and extremely limited in resources. The outcome is obvious - poverty.

The Ethiopian Jews who lived in the cities, were rich and had useful skills are doing very well. I had a friend from such a family - nor he nor them had any particular problems adapting to and succeeding in Israel.

The whole blood thing. It’s a standard procedure for hospitals not to accept blood from people who spent X time in recent X years in a disease problematic country. Ethiopia is such a country.

Second class citizens? This is the same hyperbolic, bullshit rhetoric as the whole “apartheid” slander.

BTW - Israeli born Ethiopian Jews are, of course, much more succesful than their parents. And third, fourth and so on gen will be completely integrated, as did all the other waves of repatriates.

A large majority of Israelis are secular. And this is the first time I have heard about people who believe that Ethiopian Jews are not “fully Jewish”. But then again… the Rabbis tend to be real Nazis about who’s Jewish and who’s not Jewish - they put me through 7 level of hell just so that I could marry my wife in a proper Jewish ceremony. Why? Because I was born in USSR, and they don’t like it. Fuck them with a pitchfork.

Wait, does this mean I can whine and bitch about being a “second class citizen”?

And that particular Rabbi - fuck him with a pitchfork, too. A day will come - and it’s not far away - when we’ll correct Ben Gurion’s mistake and take the power back from these people. I have a few choice words for the dregs that the Sokhnut gathered to Israel, too. It’s not an excuse for these Rabbis and their sick obsessions, though.

I had a bunch of Russian olim from an Ulpan working under me once. It was absolutely shocking - from 20+ people, only 2 were Jews. Most of the rest were criminals on the run who pretended to be Jews to escape prison. Half the women were whores. And some of these fucks were actually anti-Semitic.

My mom volunteers at the Sokhnut, so she explained it to me - there is a quota they have to fill in order to get their budget. Since there are very few Jews left in Russia, they are closing their eyes to the assorted scum they’re bringing in. Basically they are knowingly harming Israel. IMO, the system needs to be reformed ASAP… and we desperately need a loyalty oath law.

Although I know a guy who has a Jewish father and a Russian (I think. Something Slavic, anyway) mother. They came to Israel, and after a decade or so his parents got divorced. So he’s a nominal Christian (mostly reflected in getting Xmass presents) and a proud, loyal Israeli. Which is excellent - the way I see it, he’s a better Jew than some psycho Betzelem leftie who’s 100th generation Jerusalemite.

Well, said rabbis’ obsession stems from laws put in to prevent the cultural and religious assimilation of Jews into the various groups they lived in. Is that still as relevant here and now? Maybe, maybe not. Personally I find that the average Israeli is so ignorant of our history and culture beyond the last century, it’s frightning. So maybe the measures applied are wrong, but *something* should be done.

39 (1) Every citizen shall have an unrestricted right to the freedom of expression, reception and dissemination of information, publication, and access to the press without prejudice to order, safety or public morals as determined by law.

(2) The State shall guarantee the freedom of the press and other media as shall be regulated by law in a democratic society.

(3) All media shall abide by professional ethics, shall refrain from inciting religious, ethnic, racial or cultural hatred and shall not agitate for violence or war.
