Both articles were actually a very good read. In summary though, and correct me if I’m wrong here, Dennis seems to say that Africa should emulate the West in terms of social and political institutions instead of blaming it for everything, while Joshua seems to say that only by focusing on Africa instead of a constant fixation with the West can Africans improve it.
In truth, while one is a response to the other, they work well together. If a society works, take the good from it. And only those people who make up *your* society, can truly make it better.
