The Countries I Visited

by Drima on January 3, 2007

Sudan, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Czech Republic and Slovakia (when they were both one country called Czechoslovakia… Oh how I miss Prague), Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and USA. I really need to do more traveling.

You have done quite a good bit of travel. That’s really impressive.
Travel is probably the most practical form of education that one can receive.

This year my wife and I plan on resuming our travel throughout East Africa, first back again to my wife’s home and then to the neighboring countries! Lately that has been almost the only thing on my mind.

Cheers!

Hey Benin. Happy new year and happy traveling :)

How about Germany? Berlin can be a real fascinating city :) (and a good starting point to visit the neighbouring countries).

I will be here for probably two more years, after that I don’t know yet. If I am lucky I will get another chance for travelling myself.. I would love to go to the ME, maybe even for a longer time. I guess time will tell, but my “visited country map” also suggests that I urgently have to work on that..

Australia is about 3 hours from Malaysia and you haven’t been here yet! C’mon over, the weather’s great- where the bloody hell are ya?

Meanwhile, my map is much much sparser than yours- Australia, Egypt and… well that’s about it. But I have been to almost every State and city in Australia for work. Oh and I’ve spent some time in Indonesia, Malaysia, Jordan and Singapore… in transit on my way to and from Egypt! I’m waiting for ‘beam me up Scotty’ technology. I tell ya, we can send a man to the moon but we still have to spend hours cramped in economy class stuck between some fat smelly guy and an old lady who constantly has to go to the toilet!

my visted countries are - except israel and south africa - connected with each other, like if am some disease spreading over the world or so. Lol.

Btw, I stood at the airport soil of Dubai, but I won’t consider that as valid :)

Usual Suspect, Aussie land would be cool. I’ve got a number of friends studying in Melbourne but still… I haven’t had a chance to move my ass… Maybe after I graduate. btw, email me once you get here to KL.

Same goes for Germany, Berlin A

Suzanne, it looks like you’ve visited almost all of Europe. That must have been fun huh?

If I had a choice right now, I would choose to go to Brazil, Spain or Israel for a holiday. Brazil has always been a “dream” destiniation together with Spain. Israel on the other hand is a recent fascination.

Suzanne, even though Sudan is screwed up big time in various places especially Darfur right now, there’s still tons of good stuff available especially if you’re an outdoors type of person.

Check out pictures of Sudan in Flickr. Have a look at the Merowe pyramids and check this post out too.

Melbourne is fantastic- my favourite city. But Perth is soooooooo much closer to Malaysia and you can come and visit me. If you love beaches and blue skies come to Perth. If you love the cosmopolitan life, restaurants, shopping, food go to Melbourne.
