Hmmm. Interesting. USA can’t do it alone, though. That would mean going head-to-head against not only China, Russia and the whole Islamic world, but also Europe and roughly half of the American public.

USA is buggered either way - if they act, they are evil imperialistic crusaders attacking an innocent Muslim victim.
If they do not act, they are evil, arrogant capitalist oppressors who live off stuff they steal from poor Muslims and do not care about human suffering.

America is a hamstrung, tied-down giant, slowly being eaten to death by ants.

The only ones who can actually do something about Darfur are Arficans and/or Muslims. Which is why darfur-awareness is so important.

I don’t think presz. Bush can do much, neither way. If he acts: it’s imperialistic motives (or whaddevah) - if he doesn’t act: it’s also not good.

Btw: sad that darfur is getting so little responses on your blog even as opposite to every posting about ‘da middle-east’ :(

That site was an interesting read, Drima. While the US can’t just land troops in Sudan, I think these folks can at least raise public awareness a little.
