Carmen: Condemned to Hell, Again
Posted on October 14, 2006
Carmen has a really cool post on her blog. It brings back so many memories. I’ve always hated it when people judge you for being a bad or good Muslim and give you the whole “you’re condemned to hell” intense speech. Her experience is similar to many I’ve had. I’ve got one word for Carmen. RESPECT!

Thanks for the link! A truly nice blog.
Hey, Drima, thankx for the link.I commented on Carmen’s blog but I don’t know if my reply has gone through.Anyway, what I wanted to say is that we are all free to do whatever we want cuz our actions are b/w us & God.
However, we have been asked in the Quran & in Al Hadith to ” Naamur bilma3rouf wa nanha 3an almunkar”.Hence, advising each other, in itself, is our moral duty but the manner, whereby we relay the message, is what’s abhorrent; the aggressive, doomed to hell strategy.Allah(SWT) told the Prophet(PBUH) ” Wa la takun fazan ghaleez alqalb laan fado min hawlik”.Sry, I suck at translations.
Anyway, a lot of things are screwed up.We have been asked to not stay quiet in the face of evil yet we don’t question the hijackers of our religion & pick on relatively trivial(& personal) things a la Carmen.
