A Plane Crashes Into Manhattan Building

BY now I’m sure most of you have heard about the plane crash that occured in Manhattan. There was no involvement of terrorists or anything and the crash was already confirmed as an accident. I’m finding the reaction quite odd though. Shouldn’t people be asking questions? If after the horrific acts of 9/11, a plane can still crash into a Manhattan building then there must be something wrong. Yes…? No…? I have a feeling Democrats might also use this one besides the Foley scandal against Republicans in the coming elections. They’ll declare “New York’s skies are still unsafe. This shouldn’t have happened.” I don’t know but it’s probably just a stupid prediction. :)

Depends man. They’ve got to fly somewhere, and at some point you have to accept that certain risks are acceptable.

The thing is, the worry isn’t that accidents won’t happen, it’s that people will willfully take advantage of slack security to intentially harm innocent people to make a political point. There’s a difference there that I’m hoping even democrats and other opponents of the Bush administration (and Republicans generally) would appreciate.

The FAA banned any flying near NYC today. It’s about darn time. How long does it take before all the other plane crashes into buildings (Florida, etc) before they get a clue?

Rosemary, now that finally makes sense… I was really confused over why a plane would be flying like that over Manhattan especially given what happened on 9/11… I found rather weird… Good thing the FAA came up with that decision.
