North Korea Threatens War Against U.S.

It’s only a matter of time before Kim Jong II is declared the new Nasrallah! Okay that’s too much. I’m just playing but still, he’s defintely bound to get popular in the Muslim world. The latest developments are worrying me.

“If the U.S. keeps pestering us and increases pressure, we will regard it as a declaration of war and will take a series of physical corresponding measures,” the North’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency. The statement didn’t specify what those measures could be.

…About 29,500 U.S. troops are deployed in the South, a remnant of the 1950-53 Korean War that ended in a cease-fire that has never been replaced by a peace treaty.

29,500 US troops ey? Hmmm. I’m defintely worried. Nuclear Holocaust anyone? Eh… Meanwhile some guy who’s quite representative of a considerable portion in the Sudanese street has started a thread in Sudan.Net’s forum entitled “North korea having the nuke is good for Muslims”. Yaaay! Kim, pleeeease pass one nuke to Iran, just one pleeease!!

UPDATE: Here are the ranges of the North Korean missiles. Taepo Dong 2 can quite easily reach LA. Sigh! Goodbye Hollywood.

    North Korea ain’t going to do shit. Kim Jong-Il isn’t going to put his own ass on the line by trying anything stupid. Just let ‘em know we will nuke ‘em if they give us any trouble. Jong-Il is a materialist and a hedonist, he isn’t a suicidal kamikaze.

    Taepo Dong 2 is one of the missles they recently test. It was complete failure. Forget that. Furthermore, it doesn’t sound like they’ve even got this nuclear weapon thing down. Their test was at least a partial dud and it isn’t clear they even have anything that can be employed in the form of an actual bomb.

    Their most devastating move would be to invade the South Korea. But if they try that, North Korea is doomed. Even China isn’t happy with North Korea right now.

    For the record, we are still technically at war with North Korea. The Korean War is technically still going on since we’ve never brought it to a formal end. So if Kim Jong-Il merely declares war on us, that doesn’t change anything.

    Yes I saw estimates that his “test” nuke only achieved a fraction of the 12,000 kiliotons of the original atamic bombs dropped at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. His nuke program isn’t even up to World War II standards… if he starts a nuclear war he’s going to be one sorry ass radioactive motherfucker.

    Come on, get serious. Have you really thought about what the consequences would be for the entire world if a nuclear conflict between the United States and North Korea becomes reality? The bomb that destroyed Hiroshima was a like setting off a firecracker in comparison to what modern-day nuclear weapons can do. The economic fallout and worldwide panic would be much more devastating than the loss of life in the original conflict itself.

    Trust me, it’s the last thing on Earth that you ever want to see happen. But if it does happen somewhere near you, remember, don’t look into the flash. Duck and cover… and pray. This is my favorite entry from the Sudan.net forum “North Korea having the nuke is good for Muslims”:

    Third world countries/non alligned countries should fight any sanctions against south korea, and in fact support south korea fully!

    BRE, I know but I don’t really believe that nuclear weapons are just going to sit in their silos for all eternity… Someday one… at least one will have to come out.

    As for North Korea… you never know… You have to keep your eyes OPEN 24/7. Plus how the hell can I not worry man…? Hollywood could go… That will mean no more Prison Break, OC. One Tree Hill, Veronica Mars, The L World, Desperate Housewives etc. You name it…. Thank God Oprah’s studio is in Chicago… ;)

    Yes LA might and I say might, get hit but knowing that we have aegis destroyers ready to pick off a missle that” probably wont work any way “makes me feel pretty good. And also knowing that as soon as we see a launch we have subs in the area and bombers that can send aproxametly 300 hydrogen bombs into N Korea before their missle get into the atmosphere. And thats without using our thousands of land and mobile based nukes from home.. nobody wants nuclear war but everybody seems to forget that America has the capability to destroy and turn into the sahara desert any country that wishes to send a missle this way. Distgruntled muslims !!! lol i love it…..
