What’s wrong with the above list? Can someone please tell me?

Dear Muslims, bash the West all you want but pleeease oh pleeeeeease don’t forget to bash our own leaders and foreign policy makers. We need to bash them too you know. Why? Simply because they are worse. Alright? Let’s just bash them a little bit shall we? Just a little? No? Come on not even a little tiny bit? Ah, who am I kidding? Apparently the West and America are always the “worse” ones.

Don’t worry, when they finally do start giving their money it will be earmarked for rebuilding and building mosques and madrassas.

btw - I find submission.org to be very informative, even though I do understand there is controversy in the whole Rashid Kalifa (?) debating verses, I find that it does a good job of debunking a lot of myths and seperates the cultural from the religious.

Nice decor!

:)

It’s good to know you’re out there, Drima.

That’s sad. And, totally against the “conspiracy theory” for which some seem to be so convinced….

Tse.

BTW, Drima… insanity seems to be rapidly becoming a norm in this day. Europeans and Americans are going to incredible lengths to blame themselves for terrorism, to pretend that it doesn’t exist or to do both at the same time. Self-loathing became a norm in the West (which is why I believe we’re in for a new Dark Age, ushered in by militant Islam).

To hear a voice from Muslim states (lately the hotbeds of utter insanity) makes me respect the speaker even more. So, dude - respect to you. Strengh and courage, as we say in Hebrew ;)

Wow!!! I feel so embarrassed & ashamed that my disgraceful govt & I belong to the same country.

Watch my country being stabbed; raped by her beloved children
Suffocating in her tears cuz her “own” committed treason
Man-made apocalypse; political vendetta(s) that lack a logical reason
The Motherland impoverished; stripped naked for the vultures to feed in

My home is hurting; crying out for the patriots to rise.Where are the patriots??!!!! *sigh*

Thankx & appreciation to all the donor countries.

There are lots of people who blame their governments.

In fact, as an Egyptian, most people here blame the government everyday for everything. It is only when something of an international-middle east nature comes up that they start swearing at the US and Israel as well… in between their swearing at the government.

Hello Drima, Interesting post. Couldn’t resist adding these notes.

it would be interesting to know how many billions of dollars the international community have donated to help the people of Sudan since 2003/2004, apart from the $4.5 billion for South Sudan pledged for reconstruction.

The UN’s World Food Programme (WFP) is just one of many - the figures do not include the gigantic generous donations from USAID who, in the past, shipped US food to Sudan instead of making financial contributions to UN WFP. Off the top of my head, I think the international community is feeding six million people in Sudan.

Thought you might like to see the following notes of donations for Darfur, from the European Union and UK, not to mention all the other European countries:

May 17, 2006: UK donated $40m to AU mission in Darfur bringing UK contribution to $100m

July 18, 2006: Source: European Commission - Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO) 17 July, 2006:

Responding to the Darfur conflict that has been raging since 2003, the European Union has been at the forefront of international assistance backing up efforts led by the African Union (AU). The EU’s support has included the following major components:

Mobilisation of funds of around EUR 1 billion. Most resources have been provided for humanitarian assistance, including food aid and aid to Darfur refugees in neighbouring Chad.

The European Commission alone has allocated EUR 282 million in humanitarian support.

EU Member States have provided around EUR 12 million in support of the political process.

Contributions to the Ceasefire Commission (CFC) and the African Union Mission in Sudan (AMIS) amount to approximately EUR 325 million, including funding from the African Peace Facility of EUR 212 million.

The EU and its Member States have been providing a wide range of support to the African Union’s (AU) efforts to help stabilise the situation in Darfur since January 2004.

This support has included financial, personnel and political support to the Abuja talks process and the Ceasefire Commission. It also includes support to AMIS through the provision of equipment and assets, planning and technical assistance, military observers, training of African troops and civilian police officers and strategic transportation.

- Almost 100 personnel from the EU and its Member States have been deployed to Sudan in support of the military component of AMIS and a further 50 in support of the civilian police component.

- In the same period, EU Member States have provided coordinated strategic airlift for well over 2000 African Union personnel.

- The EU has committed a total of EUR 212 million from the African Peace Facility in support of AMIS since June 2004. This has provided the funds necessary to pay personnel costs including salaries, allowances, insurance, travel, rations and medical costs.

- Additionally, EU Member States have made substantial bilateral contributions - financial as well as the provision of expertise, equipment, food rations, airlift, etc. The estimated amount of Member States’ support to AMIS is approximately EUR 115 million.

thanx for the extra info, Ingrid.

Faisal, I know what you mean. The thing is that so many people in the Muslim world demonize the West and overlook all the good things coming out of it.

Meanwhile the House of Al Saud and ones like them, are _________
