Titanic VS The Notebook

Ya ya I know what the hell right? Well hey don’t blame, I’m not in the mood to blog about something serious or depressing today since I already am depressed with the super depressing news… SO… for a change I thought we could all maybe discuss something that would do us some good if we practiced it a little bit more… How about we discuss LOVE for a change huh?!

In your opinions, if you had to choose between the two and only the two which movie would you choose as the greatest romance and love story movie of all time… Titanic or The Notebook?! Stop trying to act all tough and emotionless because I know all of you who do act like that are in fact soft and sensitive baby rabbits deep inside so come on… which one is it… Titanic or The Notebook?? (and please don’ tell me you haven’t watched them or I’ll strangle you!!)

UPDATE: Coming up next is “The Agenda Behind Darfur”.

    I haven’t watched either. (ducking!)
I routinely boycott the biggest hypes, haven’t even read the da Vinci code, so I can sit back and watch everybody going ballistic about it.

other than that: why not define LOVE for a start ? anyone ?

The notebook… definitly the notebook…. it is a beautiful love story… and the fact that the live happily ever after… and when they are old and grey, he still loves her and talks to her and waits for her to remember him is the most touching thing ever…i cried so hard at the end of that movie….it is probably my most favorite romantic movie ever….

why not titanic you ask??? because they had a fling… then the guy died….and worse…. she didnt even let him sit with her on the iceberg while they waited to be rescued…. now that never made sense to me… why why why???so it may have been fun while it lasted…. but to say it is an eternal love story just doesnt cut it for me….good movie, but not my favorite…. and being in love 40 years later with someone you knew for a few days, but never married…. isnt very logical to me.and i hate sad endings…. i am a romatic at heart… and i believe all love stories deserve a happy ending…

    The notebook :)

    Definately The Notebook.
I actually like the book waaaay better…. but it was still such a shweet movie…

Plus, I think the hype for Titanic kinda died a couple of years ago, and like anonymous said, it’s so illogical and it doesn’t really have a happy ending.
Happy endings give you such satisfaction after watching the movie… you can’t beat that.
Plus, I never really understood whether she dropped the diamond into the ocean by accident or on purpose. HMM
    Too much to think about.
The Notebook is sweet and simple with a clear msg.

    Neither:D
Wicker park(heartthrob Josh Hartnett) portrays true love,in my opinion.

    Two words:

    Kate Winslet.

    The Notebook was a bore…

Titanic. Notebook I haven’t seen. So that narrows the choice just a little bit, huh :S:

    Tse.

Titanic is by far the best “chic flic” I’ve seen, although I would love to marry Rachel McAdams.

Hey Drima - did you get my email? Are you still in Chicago? Well, if you left, I hope you had a good time man.

BTW - I think Rachel McAdams is with Sasha Baron Cohen from Ali G…if anyone cares :) Lucky Borat!

    moulin rouge! moulin rouge!!
Moulin rouge is one of my fave movies!!
but technically, it comes under musicals.. so i wouldn’t really put it in the same category as the Notebook and Titanic
