Yes There IS an Agenda Behind Darfur =(

by Drima on June 30, 2006

Ladies and gentlemen, for the past 2 months I’ve been reading many articles and talking to different people about the situation in Darfur. I’ve been quite reluctant to say this but there is an agenda behind Darfur. Yes, you read that right. I’m sorry to say there is an agenda. Here is a great blog entry by Ingrid at Sudat Watch. In it she expresses similar views to mine. What this agenda exactly is, I’ll let you all know at a later time as I’m still trying to gather more credible information while filtering out all the non-sensical conspiracy theories. Darfur has a huge wealth of natural resources including oil, gold, copper and minerals. Oh yes and there’s one more word I forgot to mention. Uranium! Can you make any guesses now? I’ll let you all take it from here until I get back. Have fun thinking and figuring out who’s behind this agenda.

But an outside power could get at the mineral wealth just as easily by influencing the central government, suppporting a rebel group or supporting a UN intervention. The point is, saying that Sudan has resources doesn’t say anything at all about why people are reacting to the situation there as they are.

Often, the truth is right there on the surface; it’s just hard to accept.

Actually, he is saying that the truth is just a little bit under the surface.
