Darfur & The South: Part of a Zionist Conspiracy

When the debate about Darfur is discussed in the context of natural resources, many disturbing perspectives come into the picture. The challenge for me is to spot which is conspiracy theory and which is fact. It’s not easy sometimes. The most popular argument in the Sudanese street is that Darfur and the south are part of an American and Zionist long term plan to divide Sudan and control its water resources, oil and minerals. Big question mark if you ask me!

Please though, let’s get real for a while. When anything is discussed in the context of natural resources, the debate always tends to get ugly eg: impoverished Africa, Iraq, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia etc. Don’t lie to yourselves. We all still can’t even come to an agreement on why Iraq was invaded. Oil in the short term, NO but in the long term YES. WMD’s? Maybe (if they existed). Democracy? Pleeeease… let’s get real. If true demoractic elections were held the result will be Hamas-like governments ruling the region. A combination of X and democracy? YES.

However, Sudan…? Let me say it again. It’s not easy spotting which is conspiracy theory and which is fact sometimes.. Any super power would naturally want to maintain the position of being a super power. I just hope the game is played fairly… WAIT! That’s if there is such a thing as fair.

Apart from all those “dark political forces”, I just want to live in peace and coexist with everyone peacefully. The true enemy is extremism. It is extremism and ignorance on both sides that will destroy us all. The end of the 21st century will witness a great war fought not over oil but over WATER.

You know, maybe if everyone practiced meditation, people could be more peaceful and desire less dangerious things like oil and other limited resources.

Yup, just a random brain fart, but the thing is that meditation is a spiritually independent action, not conflicting with Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, or even organized Buddhism.

People just need to sit down, breath in, and reflect for a bit, asking themselves what they really want from life, and how they feel at the moment. Meditation doesn’t even have to aim towards enlightment in the way people recommend.

For example, me being a poor Buddhist by birthright merely consists of me pausing when I realize it, to sit and calm down. My personal meditation consists of addressing my form of anger for the world situation. I think about the reasons I am angry, about the cruel things people do, and about reasons for retaliation that could make things worse. I strongly disagree that violence must be approached with pacifism, yet I understand that vigilantism is also a poor answer. I don’t reach a conclusion, but the session helps dissipatate excess emotions and place cloudy things in perspective.

Enlightment for me is the distant goal of finding an attitude were I can accept the world for what it is and to figure out what I need to do. This includes coming into terms with my belief that some people really need to die for the sake of humanity. Not kosher for organized Buddhists, but works for placing myself in a more peaceful state.

Just a link to a Vipassana meditation website:
    http://www.dhamma.org/

As you will notice, meditation can have nothing to do with religion, and is probably kosher with any religious belief. What’s ever wrong with sitting down and absorbing the moment?

If anything, it allows me to turn off the computer, and relax without using up precious oil reserves from a power plant.

Holy shit! Did I just endorse Buddhist philosophy? Why on earth did I just discuss that in a completely unrelated thread????!?!?!

Al Said, GUESS WHAT, I do yoga! If Bin Laden tried it he might actually end up shaving his stupid ugly santa claus beard and getting a shiny boldy head. After that he’ll probably wear an orange cloth and wrap it around his body. Oh and yes he’ll later start crying over the statues of Buddha which stupid Taliban blew up.

You people if didn’t bring Israel on any agenda you won’t feel satisfied. What is it?

Hahahaahaaa, yep great big zionist conspiracy.

Zionism = the longing for a homeland for the jewish people.

I don’t see the connection, do you Drima? Zionism is over now anyway, Israel exists and the “jewish people” have a homeland. So, I suppose the likes of David Ilke found good fertile ground to spit their conspiracy theories upon, because I suppose when one is in so deep - it’s easier to make up one single - being guilty of everything - scapegoat, then address the problems at hand (which are, ALWAYS within a society - I mean: if one wants the best for his people he doesn’t get drawn into malicious plans for them, even if they’re suggested to him from “the outside”).

Start looking to the inside before anyone let bad inside types get away with blaming the outside for anything THEY’re doing :)
You probably don’t know that “blame the jews” is a decennialong misleading agenda for corrupt people pursuading their victims that all troubles come from the jews and getting richer and richer by themselves while all are looking the wrong way….

I hate all this conspiracy crap. It’s just so misleading and makes people loop their thoughts in endless circles. The problem is that people churn out so many conspiracies so damn fast that you end up drowning in them. Imagine me put amongst a 100 people who talk about them 24/7. It’s annoying. It’s always better to stay away from those types of despaired mentalities. Once the blame is put on another persons’ shoulders it’s easy to sit and not do anything about it. Blame yourself before you blame anyone. I always have to stay a few steps ahead by checking facts and news 24/7 just to avoid being “stung” and “injected” with a seemingly true and credible conspiracy theory.

You know, when sit on my ass and do nothing, I realize that I don’t give a shit about conspiracies. In fact, I then feel that I don’t even care if I’m a victim of a real one.

Shadow: Muahahahaha! My evil plans to manipulate that puppet Bush are now complete!
Al: *yawn* That sounds nice. *snoring*

Doing nothing but reflect is probably the ultimatly lazy thing in the world! Yay!

Bleh, you and your yoga, sounds like a lot of work. lol.
    =P
