I am Drima & I have a dream

I have a dream that one day this culture of hatred we’re stuck in will go away and turn into a culture of forgiveness and tolerance.

I have a dream that one day Muslim and Jewish boys and girls can run around and play happily together as brothers and sisters in the streets of Jerusalem .

I have a dream that people will wake up, stop believing outrageous conspiracy theories and see the truth.

I have a dream that democracy and a positive Islamic reform will sweep the nations of my people.

I am Drima & I have a dream

I have a dream that someday sons of dead suicide bombers and sons of victims of suicide bombings will sit together at the table of brotherhood to enjoy some fine Italian pizza.

I have a dream that someday in the near future Sudan will finally be able to enjoy political stability and prosperity and that I would live to see that day.

And last but not least, I have a dream that one day this world will rise up and live out the true meaning of humanity.

Aaaah *frustration *frustration… Damn is this lame or what?! = (

wow, beautiful and hopeful dream. but far from reality. how totally skewed.

“I have a dream that one day Muslim and Jewish boys and girls can run around and play happily together as brothers and sisters in the streets of Jerusalem.”

you know, just today i read an article in newsweek about a muslim man from sudan narrowly esacping the rampage of the janjaweed militiamen as they gunned down his family. he reached safely across the borders of egypt and he paid someone 50 bucks to smuggle him into Israel. He had nowehere else to run to, hoping to find a safe haven in israel, he was instead, detained and locked up. ironic isin’t it? israel was created after the diaspora of jews when millions of them were made homeless and into refugees and yet they lock up and turn away others (sudanese specifically, because sudan was once a home to bin laden) that were in their same predicament. I mean you would think the Jews would be a little more sympathetic to the Sudanese people because of their common hardships..(genocide)..but no. They forbid the granting of asylums to refugees fleeing the genocide in Darfur.

So I’m sorry, but I don’t see Muslim and Jewish boys and girls EVER playing happily ever after. When simple moral obligations and simple acts of humanity was not and has not be showcased at all on the Jew’s part.

And I’m sorry to bring up religion, but the Jewish people were given a ‘kelebihan’ and yet they still do not accept Prophet Muhammad SAW as the last seal of Islam. So how can we play with them in a happy world?

    .pinktoes.

“hoping to find a safe haven in israel, he was instead, detained and locked up.”

pinktoes, I was laughing to myself when I the read that story. He should have known better. I mean out of all countries… Israel??? Israel The Jewish State??? =p

But if you think about it… had the Israelis allowed him in and welcomed him, word would have traveled all the way back to Darfur sooner or later and Israel would end up with tons of Darfurians at its doorstep seeking refuge… That would be a headache for Israel to deal with…

Hey come to think about… Why not spread false info in Darfur that Israelis are now taking in Darfurian refugees… Millions of Darfurians will go there and then a huge battle will start… Cool… It would be jihad of a different kind… Obviously some of the Darfuris would be smart enough to figure out a way to get through into Israel… They would all convert to Judaism and then Israel will have to accept them. I mean come on it’s the Jewish state isn’t it???

    =P

I hear that Muslims still do not accept Joseph Smith, the Mormon prophet.

    Neither do I.

Yes, I agree. And many people in Israel do too. Israel should grant asylum to Sudanese refugees.

But consider that asylum law will have to be changed. That will take time. Israel also has other problems to deal with, some more important (to Israel) than Sudanese refugees. Israel did take in Vietnamese refugees, of course; it’s not unprecedented.

Also consider that being locked up in an Israeli prison is likely a better life than these refugees had in Sudan. The point is that these refugees are safe, for the moment. Where else should Israel have put them?

[…] Meanwhile, most Arabs and Muslims passionately blame Israel and America for their “divide and control” games. Fair enough. However let us not forget that we should also take responsibility for falling prey to those games in the first place. And here we are, Secularist Fatah and fundi Islamist Hamas. Pick your side… or not. Ah, so much for my dream. […]

I have seen that happen. Muslim and Jewish kids interact in Israel every day.

One thing I liked about Israel was that there was mosques standing next to synagogues standing next to churches.

Your dream seems to be Israel.
