Another Case of Bird Flu In Sudan

Another case of bird flu has been reported in Sudan. Damn! I seriously pitty President Omar Al-Bashir. He must have a serious headache. Darfur crisis, screwed up Chad relations, Eastern rebels getting more pissed off by the day, mediating between Syria and Lebanon and now bird flu. Folks it’s one tough job being president. Good luck to him settling all those issues while at the same time being wanted by the UN for “war crimes”. Yeah war crimes, leadership is always ultimately responsible as Donald Trump always says on his show The Apprentice. But then again when was the last time Sharon was wanted for war crimes? I guess the definition of “evil” is also written by the victors just as history is.

“But then again when was the last time Sharon was wanted for war crimes?”
Perhaps once he commits any?
The massacre he is usually blamed for was commited by Lebanese Christians. Sharon was merely supposed to stop it and didn’t. But that is not a war crime.
I see a double standard here. Be careful.
It should also be noted that the massacre in question was one of the smaller massacres at the time. The bigger and more impressive ones Sharon had nothing to do with.
“I guess the definition of “evil” is also written by the victors just as history is.”
It seems to me that in the case of Sharon it is written by the losers.
The definition of “evil” in this case appears to be:
a) An Arab responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of people.
b) A Jew not responsible for the deaths of hundreds but who failed to stop those who were responsible.
I agree that Sharon should have stopped the Christian militia. He failed in his job and he was was punished by the Israeli government (although mildly).
But to call it a war crime and to rank Sharon among the greatest war criminals because he did not stop the murder of a few hundred people when he could is a bit harsh.
Question: Does anybody even remember, off hand, the name of the Christian Lebanese leader of the militia group responsible for the massacre? If you don’t know the name, but do know that Sharon had something to do with it; ask yourself why you know about Sharon’s involvement but do not know the name of the actual perpetrator. The answer will tell you everything you want to know about who gets to define “evil”.
(Or what particula crime of Sharon’s were you referring to?)
The name is “Elie Hobeika”. I had to look it up.
Sorry Andrew, I just noticed your comments.
Elie Hobeika, is it? Alright I will defintely look it up. If your story is true then you do have a point.
